The primary land tenure for each renewable energy project within Yindjibarndi Ngurra, will always be held by the Yindjibarndi. As equity owners and primary tenure holders within the development area, Yindjibarndi people retain a central role in how projects are planned, approved and delivered on Yindjibarndi Ngurra.
This includes Yindjibarndi approval of all proposed project sites, involvement in technical and environmental studies to support cultural knowledge building, and the protection of Country’s intellectual property.
