Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation (YEC) (or we, us, our) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.   • Employee information and records, such as position information, office or site location, employment or other agreements, attendance records, health and medical information and testing, performance records, skill and training records, termination records and any other information which may be collected during your employment.
  • Background, education and qualification information, such as your qualifications, education details, employment and career history.
  • Financial information, such as banking information, tax information, salary benefits, superannuation information or other payment information.
  • IT information, which may include information required to provide access to our IT systems and networks (e.g. login information, IP addresses), the records of your use of those systems, devices and networks (laptops, telephone) and email and internet use.
  • Other information, such as access to and attendance at YEC premises, sites or assets (e.g. records of entry, information collected through CCTV), details of your activities at our sites or use of our assets, communications with you (including complaints or concerns raised by you) and other information you voluntarily provide to us.

Some types of information are considered to be more private than others (e.g. cultural information) and this type of information is called "sensitive personal information". This information will only be collected as described in section 6 below.

We collect and process personal information to conduct our business – which includes managing your working relationship with us, managing our workforce, managing our contractual relationships, managing safety and security risks and complying with legal obligations. We also collect and process personal information where you have provided your consent, or it is necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

If we do not collect your personal information, it may affect our ability to engage with you.

Sometimes we will need to collect sensitive personal information about you, but we will only do this:

  • Where you have provided your consent explicitly (which includes where you have consented to a third-party providing health services at our request).

In accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if a data breach is likely to result in serious harm.

If you believe we have breached your privacy, you can contact us using the details below. We will investigate your complaint and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time where necessary to reflect changes in applicable laws or in our privacy compliance practices. The most current version will be available on our website.
