YEC invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations seeking long‑term, reliable and scalable renewable electricity supply from our Pilbara‑based renewable energy projects. 

This EOI is intended to identify potential power offtake customers located in, or operating in proximity to, the Pilbara, including existing operations and future developments planning to decarbonise, electrify, or secure long‑term energy supply. 

About the opportunity 

Our projects are being developed to support industrial‑scale energy demand in the Pilbara and are designed with flexibility to accommodate a range of offtake structures and customer needs. 

Key characteristics include: 

  • Proximity to Pilbara industrial, mining, port and processing operations 
  • Scalable renewable generation, with the ability to grow alongside customer demand 
  • Long‑term supply options suitable for base load and industrial use 
  • Alignment with Western Australia’s energy transition and industrial decarbonisation objectives 

The EOI process will help inform project configuration, staging, and commercial structures and will not commit respondents to a binding arrangement. 

Who should respond 

We welcome EOIs from organisations including, but not limited to: 

  • Mining and minerals processing operations 
  • Ports, logistics and infrastructure operators 
  • Industrial manufacturing and processing facilities 
  • Emerging industries such as green fuels, hydrogen, ammonia and green metals 
  • Proponents of new Pilbara developments requiring future power supply 

Both existing energy users and early‑stage or future projects are encouraged to respond. 

Purpose of the EOI 

This EOI is being conducted to: 

  • Understand current and future electricity demand in the Pilbara 
  • Identify preferred contract tenors, volumes and commercial structures 
  • Support informed planning of generation capacity, transmission and staging 
  • Enable early, transparent engagement with potential customers and stakeholders
